Big news - thanks (in part) to our efforts Hala Ayala is now an official DC Statehood supporter. She will be a tremendous lieutenant governor of Virginia and deserves our thanks and support.

Speaking of Hala Ayala, although we are *almost* out of postcards for Katie Sponsler, running to flip the now-open HD-66 seat, we have PLENTY left for Briana Sewell, who is running to hold the seat Ayala vacated to run for lieutenant governor (HD-51).

We're working with other local groups, including DC for Democracy and the Capital Stonewall Dems, to build a strong DC caravan in support of Democratic candidates in VA from Terry McAuliffe at the top of the ticket, through Hala Ayala and Mark Herring (state attorney general) and on down the ballot.
