THE WARD 6 DEMS

Our mission is to build a community across the diverse neighborhoods of Ward 6 to elect Democratic party candidates, educate voters, support Democratic party ideals and principles, and achieve equal representation for our residents through DC Statehood.

OUR MISSION

HOW DO WE DO THAT?

  • Hosting educational events with local elected officials and
    community leaders
     

  • Sharing Democratic party and Ward 6 community information and resources through our bi-weekly e-newsletter, our website, and our social media platforms
     

  • Engaging in GOTV efforts inside and outside DC
     

  • Campaigning for Democratic nominees inside and outside DC
     

  • Developing community leaders through the Young Dems of Ward 6 and other volunteer opportunities within the Democratic party and the local community
     

  • Collaborating with Democratic party organizations like the DC DSC and the DC High School Democrats
     

  • Supporting the work of community groups like Serve Your City/the Ward 6 Mutual Aid Network and the NoMa/H Street Civic Association
     

  • Promoting the work of Free DC, DC Vote, Neighbors United for Statehood, and 51 for 51
     

  • Fundraising to support all these efforts
