Join the Young Dems of Ward 6 and of Ward 2 for a one-hour roundtable on housing affordability. The first of a two-part series, this roundtable with local housing providers and experts will discuss the problem of high housing costs in DC and how they are negatively impacting all of us. This will be a conversation rather than a presentation, so your contributions are welcome!
Date: Wednesday, January 18
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. (one hour roundtable followed by a happy hour)
Location: Blackbird Apartments club room / The Roost (1401 Pennsylvania Avenue SE)
The organized roundtable discussion will take place in the club room. After it concludes, the YDW6/YDW2 will host a happy hour at The Roost, located in the same building, so you can continue the conversation in a more casual environment.
Note: If you wish to participate in the live event, you will have to attend in person (that is, it's not going to be broadcast live). However, we will also be recording the one-hour roundtable and making it available after the event if you are unable to attend in person.
Part two of this series will take place in February and will focus on solutions to the housing crisis in DC.
While the series is being hosted by young Dems committees, the sessions will be open to everyone.
