Dems Care Volunteer Opportunity at DC Central Kitchen: Tuesday, January 20

 Join the Ward 6 Dems for our next Ward 6 Dems Care event at DC Central Kitchen, our very own neighborhood partner supporting food security across the District.

We’ll roll up our sleeves and work alongside DC Central Kitchen’s dedicated front-line staff and Culinary Job Training students to prep fresh ingredients for balanced community meals.

Volunteers help with a variety of kitchen tasks—cutting vegetables, preparing salads, packaging meals, and more. No cooking or food service experience is required, and DC Central Kitchen offers special assignments for vegetarians and individuals with allergies.

NOTE: You will also need to register with DCCK and select Ward 6 Dems as your organization. That link is available via the RSVP link above. Also, please note that we only have 10 volunteer spots available, so be sure to sign up soon in order to reserve your spot.

Volunteer requirements:

• Participants must be 12 years or older.

• All volunteers must sign the General Liability and Waiver form.

• Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver.
