Ward 6 Dems Visit the Hill to Defend Home Rule

On Tuesday, June 10, Ward 6 Dems joined the DC Democrats Statehood Committee at the Rayburn Building to deliver more than 300 postcards to Members of Congress.

Volunteers visited the offices of the members of the House Oversight Committee to say "No!" to Congressional attempts to overturn locally-passed DC laws, including a rollback of police reform and ending non-citizens' ability to vote in local elections.

Along the way, they had the opportunity to educate Congressional interns and staff of the history and importance of DC Home Rule.
