Keeping Virginia Blue this fall is critical, and the Ward 6 Dems are all in, supporting incumbents in competitive races and working to win open seats across the Commonwealth.
One of the candidates we are supporting is Katie Sponsler, a military veteran who settled in Virginia to work with the mental health community and local students as an NPS park ranger. She is running for an open seat in what is the most-Democratic district currently held by a Republican, HD-66. She is also an on-the-record supporter of DC Statehood.
We're excited that Katie will be joining us for our monthly GOTV meeting next week to give an update on her campaign!
