As part of ongoing efforts to expand the franchise in DC, in 2020, the DC Council passed the "Restore the Vote Amendment Act," which restored voting rights to incarcerated DC citizens.
Leading up to our 2022 election, the League of Women Voters of the District of Columbia (LWVDC) has launched a DC Insider Voter Information Line to offer incarcerated people access to voter registration information as well as background information on candidates and ballot issues.
