Dear Friend of Indivisible Waterfront,
Racism and the impact of COVID 19 are inextricably linked. Trump's response to protests, particularly in Washington, DC have our highest ranking retired military leaders speaking out. There is pain and anger.
We have the rare opportunity during this crisis to hear directly from a member of the U.S. House of Representative, Elaine Luria. She has already demonstrated her principled approach to national service. In addition, with 20 years in the Navy, she understands the significance of military leaders speaking out.
This Wednesday, June 10 at 7:30 PM we'll be in conversation via ZOOM with Rep. Luria regarding developments in Virginia, police brutality, particularly militarization of the police and Trump's threat to use active duty military personnel against peaceful protesters. What are her views? Her proposals?
To register and receive sign-in information on June 9th, click Yes, I'll be there .
