DC Statehood Moves Forward in the Courts

It has been an eventful fall for advocates of democratic representation in the District. In September, Congress held the first hearing on statehood in 25 years. Last month, the DC Appleseed Center for Law and Justice argued in favor of voting representation before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
