Fellow Ward 6 Democrats,
Are you willing to represent us?
We need approximately 80 total registered Democrats from Ward 6 to represent us at the DC Democratic State Convention on April 18. We also need about seven or eight registered Democrats from Ward 6 who are willing to run to represent DC in Milwaukee at the Democratic National Convention this summer. Details and deadlines below.
If you're interested but unsure what's involved or whether you can make the commitment required, please do not hesitate to contact me - [email protected] or 202.258.5316.
Also of note: Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to remove the 1982 deadline for states to pass the Equal Rights Amendment, which is particularly meaningful now that Virginia has voted to ratify the ERA, becoming the critical 38th state required for passage. The events are free to everyone - you don't have to be a member - and are focused on HOW WE WIN this fall. Sometimes it's voter reg, sometimes it's training in how to use social media effectively, sometimes it's postcards to voters - the topics and activities vary, but the goal is always the same: #BlueTsunami2020.

Local Presidential Candidate Events
DC is so reliably Democratic, and our electoral college allocation is so small, that we don't tend to draw a lot of attention from presidential candidates. But Virginia does, and there are volunteer opportunities both in DC and in NoVA to support your favorite candidate(s). We've put together a handy guide, by candidate, to local opportunities, at https://www.ward6dems.org/upcoming_presidential_candidate_event.
