THE WARD 6 DEMS

Our mission is to build a community across the diverse neighborhoods of Ward 6 to elect Democratic party candidates, educate voters, support Democratic party ideals and principles, and achieve equal representation for our residents through DC Statehood.

OUR MISSION

HOW DO WE DO THAT?

  • Hosting educational events with local elected officials and
    community leaders

  • Sharing Democratic party and Ward 6 community information and resources through our bi-weekly e-newsletter, our website, and our social media platforms

  • Engaging in GOTV efforts inside and outside DC

  • Campaigning for Democratic nominees inside and outside DC

  • Developing community leaders through the Young Dems of Ward 6 and other volunteer opportunities within the Democratic party and the local community

  • Collaborating with Democratic party organizations like the DC Democrats and our fellow Ward-level Democratic party organizations

  • Supporting the work of community groups like Serve Your City/the Ward 6 Mutual Aid Network, the House of Ruth, and the Capital Area Food Bank

  • Promoting and participating in the work of Free DC, DC Vote, Neighbors United for Statehood, the DC51 PAC, and 51 for 51
